Eurolys Festival

The project includes two days of international youth exchange, followed by three days of festival activities at the foot of Colle del Lys in the province of Turin, featuring activities, in-depth discussions, music, and exchanges with young people from various regions and Italian and European associations. An opportunity to collectively experience the legacy of the Resistance, reflect on the meaning of participation today, and build new connections among young Europeans.

​Specifically, participants will take part in the first phase of the project, focused on international youth exchange, staying at a dedicated facility where, through non-formal educational activities, they will prepare together for the following three days of the festival. The group will then move to the Eurolys Festival area, at the foot of Colle del Lys, where they will meet other young people from various regions and associations across Italy and Europe.

 

Participants will stay in tents, with field toilets and showers, immersed in the natural setting of the Alps. An experience designed for those who love being in touch with nature, can adapt easily, and wish to explore the themes of anti-fascism, the partisan Resistance, and European remembrance. An unusual, essential, and authentic experience, yet one of profound human and civic value.

Participant profile:

• 4 participants from Estonia 17-25 y.o. + 1 group leader 18+ y.o.;

• Highly adaptable: during the festival, participants will sleep in shared tents and use basic, rudimentary camp facilities;

• Eager to meet new people in an intercultural setting;

• Willing to embrace an offline experience - we are unlikely to have Wi-Fi access during the project and festival days!

• Interested in the themes of memory, anti-fascism, and the Resistance;

• Open to sharing experiences and learning from others;

• Committed to actively participate in all phases and activities of the project (including dissemination);

• Able to participate the whole project;

• A basic level of English to communicate.
