The European Solidarity Corps (ESC) is a European Union initiative that funds young people to volunteer in projects at home or abroad. It is a unique opportunity to challenge yourself, experiment with new ideas, and step out of your comfort zone. Keep in mind: You don’t need prior work experience or specific qualifications to apply.
TYPES OF VOLUNTEERING PROJECTS
Whether you want to dive in for a full year or just try it out for a few weeks, there is an option made exactly for you:

Individual Short-Term Volunteering: Lasts from 2 weeks to 2 months.

Individual Long-Term Volunteering: Lasts from 2 to 12 months.

Team Volunteering (Group Service): Lasts from 2 weeks to 2 months. You will join a diverse international team of at least 5 volunteers.
AGE, COSTS & ELIGIBILITY

Age limit: 18-30 years old.

Residency: Open to EU citizens and legal residents. If you live in Estonia, you can go abroad with Ethos as your sending organisation!

What does it cost? Practically nothing. Because the program is funded by the European Union.
WHAT EXPENSES ARE COVERED?
Accommodation, food money, pocket money, travel costs, health insurance, and language learning.
HOW TO BECOME AN ESC VOLUNTEER IN 5 STEPS

Step 2: Register on the ESC portal
Head over to the official European Youth Portal (youth.europa.eu) to create your volunteer profile.

Step 3: Find your project
Browse through thousands of open calls on the portal or check out our website’s open calls section.

Step 4: Submit your application
