ROOTED
Youth Exchange ROOTED: Rediscovering Origins & Organic Traditions for an Enriched Dialogue on Sustainable Tourism is a youth exchange planned to take place in Scarperia (Metropolitan City of Florence), Italy, between 26th of August and 2nd of September 2025.
The project wants to contribute to the European Youth Goals agenda. As a specific objective we want to foster the dialogue between young people and locals on the topic of sustainable tourism. We want to discuss:

the actual effects of mass tourism in Europe and how it stresses some areas, like Florence, and how it could be a resource for other more remote areas;

which are the environmental, social, and economic impacts of tourism;

how we can approach travel and tourism in a sustainable way;
-
make general reflection on personal and society’s behaviour on sustainability.
Participant profile:

4 participants from Estonia 18-30 y.o.;
-
Priority will be given to newcomers;
-
Interest in the topic of the project: passionate about sustainability and the impact of tourism;
-
Able to participate the whole project;
-
Eager to learn and share;
-
No specific prior knowledge required;
-
Interest in creative expression and media advocacy;
-
Participants who are motivated to contribute and learn during the project;
-
A basic level of English to communicate;
-
Ready to participate in dissemination activities during and after the project.
IMPORTANT! During this project participants can only use green travel, which means that Estonian team will have an amazing adventure - the road car trip from Estonia to Italy and back! In case you have the driving licence or the car to drive, please mention it in the application form.
